The Child-Sitters Membership must discover a new solution to make some spending cash: Netflix has cancelled the center faculty dramedy after two seasonsour sister web site Deadline experiences.
Based mostly on the traditional Ann M. Martin ebook sequence, The Child-Sitters Membership centered on a gaggle of center faculty associates who begin a baby-sitting service of their hometown of Stoneybrook, Connecticut. Sophie Grace, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph and Malia Baker starred as the ladies, with Alicia Silverstone and Mark Feuerstein enjoying the mom and stepfather of Grace’s character Kristy. Rachel Shukert served as creator and showrunner.
“I’ve needed to be part of the world Ann M. Martin created since I used to be 7 years previous, and for 2 superb seasons I truly bought to be,” Shukert mentioned in an announcement. “It was a dream come true. Though I’m heartbroken to not be returning to Stoneybrook for 20 extra seasons, I’m so happy with the unbelievable present our superb forged and crew created and the best way it introduced pleasure and luxury to so many once they wanted it most. Thanks to Walden Media and to Netflix for giving us the chance to introduce Kristy, Claudia, Stacey, Mary Anne, Daybreak, Jessi, and Mallory to a brand new era of followers who I do know will love them as a lot as we do for years to return.”
Debuting on Netflix in July 2020, The Child-Sitters Membership was renewed for a second season three months later. Season 2 debuted final October; learn our finale recap right here. The cancellation caps the present’s run at a complete of 18 episodes.
